The Michener Awards ceremony is traditionally held at Rideau Hall, the official residence of the Governor-General of Canada, located in Ottawa, Ontario.
In 2020 and 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic made this impossible, and the ceremony was moved online. We were delighted to return to an in-person event at Rideau Hall for the most recent awards ceremony on June 16, 2023. The 2022 winner was The Globe and Mail: Hockey Canada’s Secret Funds.
